When can I submit my abstract for presentation at SCAS-AAPT Fall 2010?
The abstract submission site is open now and closes on October 09, 2010, 5 p.m. EDT.
SCAS-AAPT does not accept late breaking abstracts.
Submit all abstracts through the Web form at SACS-AAPT. In extenuating circumstances (server failure, etc.) you may send the abstract directely to Dr. Ana Oprisan at oprisana@cofc.edu.
Can I be a first/presenting author on an abstract if I am not a member of SCAS-AAPT?
Yes, although the expectation is that every abstract has an active SCAS-AAPT member listed as one of the co-authors (see the online form at SACS-AAPT).
Am I automatically registered for SACS-AAPT 2010 by submitting an abstract?
No. You must explicitly register for the meeting at SACS-AAPT.
When will I receive confirmation of receipt of my abstract?
The system will send you an automatic acknowledgment as soon as you send the abstract.
Can I withdraw my abstract after the submission deadline of October 09, 2010?
Yes. To withdraw an abstract submission from the Program, e-mail to oprisana@cofc.edu by October 20, 5 p.m. EDT. If the request to withdraw is made after this date, SACS-AAPT cannot ensure removal from the printed Program.
I am first author of an abstract and I am unable to attend the meeting; what should I do?
Although the first author is the preferred presenter, any co-author may present without having to notify SACS-AAPT organizers. The presenter must be a co-author on the abstract. If none of the co-authors can attend the meeting, they must inform Dr. Ana Oprisan (oprisana@cofc.edu) as soon as possible.
When can I find out my presentation information?
Presentation information will be availabe online under Sessions/Events link soon after the October 9, 2010 deadline.
How many minutes I have for my plenary presentation?
Every oral presentation is 15 minutes long.
What size is the posterboard space?
Poster boards are 5'8" (1.7 m) wide and 3'8" (1.1 m) high.
